Description This is a revamped version of the roster to the Crossover Game, the massive hypothetical crossover of my video game collection. The original and quite dated version can be found here: www.deviantart.com/art/The-Cro…
This roster focuses solely on Licensed game characters, meaning that it doesn't contain any OC's or NFC figures. Though a few OC's may appear in the list, such as LH93, the Saiyan Leek, and Jay Marston, since those characters were made in games, not in original comics or fanfiction, they are still considered licensed characters.

Some of the notable changes to the roster are that most multiple incarnations of the same character, such as Naruto Uzumaki, and multiple characters that would have similar movesets or have close relations to each other, such as the Left 4 Dead characters or the South Park kids, have been merged into a single slot. With this modification, the definition of the term "Forms" has been changed. It still refers to multiple versions of the same character or different characters with similar movesets, however, those characters who previously took up multiple slots in the roster now share one. In the selection menu, "Forms" will be selected with the console-specific trigger buttons (L1 for PlayStation, LB for Xbox, and L for Nintendo. PC keyboard controls are custom.)
Another notable change is that characters are no longer separated by individual consoles. Each character is grouped by series and console brand: Light Blue for Nintendo, Blue for PlayStation, Green for Xbox, and Dark Gray for PC. Some characters that were previously represented by other consoles have shifted to the console that their franchise has the most representation on. Some examples include the Shonen Jump characters from Jump Superstars and Jump Ultimate Stars, who've shifted from Nintendo to PlayStation. This is the case with a lot of characters, hence the overload of PlayStation character slots. Several character portraits have been changed to more modern appearances, replacing the original cut-outs from their source games with artwork or updated models. However, some "newcomers" that weren't in the original roster still use artwork or cut-outs from their source game as a personal preference of mine.
If this game ever became a reality, the character slots would be grouped in a similar manner to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, which, due to the large amount of characters, separates the roster by pages. Each page would include 35 out of the current 280 characters. They would be grouped into rows of 7 and columns of 5, rows going from left-to-right, and columns going up and down. Pages would be changed using the corresponding trigger buttons: L2/R2 for PlayStation, LT/RT for Xbox, and ZL/ZR for Nintendo. This would be done in order for the character screen to fit within a TV's wide resolution, and the actual selection screen would be roughly half the height of this image.
The character roster is huge, so here's a link to the list of characters, including their forms and variations: the-crossover-game.wikia.com/w…

Moving onto the character selection itself....

A list of things that have been kept (Using a PlayStation controller as a reference):
1. Costumes are still changed using the Square button. The icon has been changed and relocated, but pressing Square will bring up a list of costumes, similar to Mortal Kombat X and Injustice: Gods Among Us.
2. The names of characters, which player selects them, and the portraits being represented by 3D models still take reference from the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm games.
3. The game still supports 4 players as it is based off of Super Smash Bros, and each player is still color-coded the same way: Red for P1, Blue for P2, Yellow for P3, and Green for P4.
4. The background design is still purple.
5. The name of a character's Variation is still listed in parentheses.

A list of changes made to the selection screen, and corresponding new gameplay mechanics (which will be detailed in another submission):
1. The icons for character variations and costumes have been redesigned, resized, and relocated.
-Costume icons are now located under the character's name, next to Form and Variation selection.
-Variations are no longer numbered. They are now represented by pictures of the character Variation.
-The icons are all located near each other, as opposed to being stacked above each other.
2. Character name brackets are color-coded to the players.
-The name brackets themselves have been changed. Instead of a modified version of the name brackets used in the Naruto games, I used by custom-drawn images from my Brawl Legends game.
-Hand icons, similar to Smash Bros, have been added to make it easier to see a character that is selected. I considered magnifying the character icons at first, however, that would obscure the surrounding characters so I chose the Smash Bros approach.
3. Transformation/Character Swap icons will be changed to pictures of the alternate characters/transformations located next to the Triangle button. Neither of these icons are shown in this picture, though I may make another picture that displays these icons.
4. Characters' finishing moves are now displayed in a similar manner to the Naruto games. The blue Smash Ball indicates a Super Smash, while the red one indicates a Final Smash.
5. A feature carried over from Brawl Legends: Ultimate Ninja Evolution is the introduction of team battles. With this, players choose a teammate that can be call upon or swapped with during battle, similar to Marve vs Capcom's tag-team mode. For tag-team characters like Boruto & Sarada or Goten & Trunks, this allows players the chance to play as up to four or six characters at once (depending on the characters chosen).
-As with the Naruto games and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, some characters that team up together will have special names, as shown in this image.
6. The font has been changed from Naruto to Mortal Kombat X, simply because this is the font I use in my character bios.

That's about it. The character information is as follows:

-P1 is Broly from Dragon Ball Z. He has no alternate forms and is using his default Variation and costume. He's teamed up with Madara Uchiha from Naruto since the two have similarities with each other, and their team name is Legendary Power, a reference to the fact that both are considered legendary warriors in their respective series. His Super Smash is Gigantic Buster, the Ultimate Attack used by Super Saiyan 3 Broly in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, though was first seen used against Piccolo in the first Broly movie. His Final Smash is his signature move, Omega Blaster, his Ultimate from multiple games in the Dragon Ball series. His default design is his blue-haired Super Saiyan form because I prefer him to be in Super Saiyan mode, and the blue haired form was his first on-screen transformation.

-P2 is Kat from Gravity Rush. Her forms are herself and her former rival, Raven, with Kat being the form chosen. She is using her default variation and costume based on Gravity Rush/PlayStation All-Stars. She is teamed up with Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy because both characters have a a follower (Luma for Rosalina, Dusty for Kat), both can levitate, and both are referred to as royalty: Rosalina is a princess, and bystanders call Kat the Gravity Queen. Their team name is Galaxy Rush, a name mock-up of Gravity Rush and Super Mario Galaxy. Her Super Smash is Gravity Typhoon, which shares its name with her Level 2 Super Move from All-Stars, and her Final Smash is Gravity Panther, a transformation she assumes near the climax of Gravity Rush, and is her Level 3 Super Move from All-Stars.

-P3 is Mario from, you guessed it, Super Mario Bros. He has no alternate forms (since they use separate slots), and is using his Super Mario Maker variation, while wearing his Super Mario Maker costume. This form of Mario reflects on how I play Super Mario Maker, which involves the amiibo costumes and other Mystery Mushroom transformations. As such, this form of Mario is one of the characters in the roster than actually has a custom moveset (other than the amiibo themselves and other Smash Bros veterans), as he can transform into any amiibo, regardless of series: Link, 8-Bit Mario, Inklings, Yarn Yoshi, Shulk, etc. Anyway, he's teamed up with my Xbox LIVE Avatar because I modeled him after Luigi, Mario's brother. Their team name is Mario 'Bros'? as a reference to this, as Mario would question why the Avatar looks like an aged version of his brother. His Super Smash is Amiibo Finale, which, despite sharing its name with Mario Finale and Doctor Finale, is actually an original attack where Mario teams up with the third-party characters from Super Smash Bros in a cutscene finisher. His Final Smash is called Ultimate Mario Challenge, which sees Mario spawn his opponents at the end of an insanely difficult Super Mario level, lined with lava and other hazards, counting down the last 10 seconds on the timer.

-P4 is Asura from Asura's Wrath. I haven't decided on his Forms/Variations or costumes yet, so for now he's set at the default for everything. He's teamed up with Six Paths Sage Mode Naruto because both Asura's Wrath and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja are developed by CyberConnect2, and Naruto's Six Paths power is derived from Ashura Otsutsuki, whose name is similar to Asura's. This is reverenced in their team name Asura and Ashura. Also, both Naruto's Kurama Chakra form and Asura can transform into six-armed forms. I borrowed Asura's supers from the PlayStation All-Stars fanfiction wiki. His Super Smash is Mantra Burst, which enhances his attacks while in Mantra mode. His Final Smash is Asura the Destructor, which sees him transform into a planet-sized form and throw planets at his opponents.

From the way how this game works from you, It's based on your video game collection right?

So what happens if the Crossover Game roster was based on Michael Thomasson's collection?
www.gooddealgames.com/Worlds%2…

How large the roster would that be?

Whoa! What a very interesting roster you've got there. So many different characters from various franchises I see here.

If this were ever real (even though it'll never happen), I would choose Yamato and Gintoki as a team. Mainly because they look kind of similar to each other and share the same Japanese voice actor (so does Chrom, but he doesn't look anything like the other two). XD

Yep, and these are actually less than I started with.
I was up to 385 characters before I decided to cut down on clones and multiple slot characters.
