Miwako is my first real female cosplay, and I am so happy I did it! I was uncomfortable at first, after being Naota and Simon - I mean, I really didn't think I would make a cute girl. But ~Mikayl and ~AcidicAutumn know just the right way to make me feel better~ I think I am going to start dressing up as more girl characters! <3

I only wore her for a couple hours on Sunday of Otakon 2011, right before we left to head back to New York. Despite the fact that she was the costume I stayed in for such a short time, she is the one that took the longest to sew, and cost me the most money~

The outfit is based more on the feeling that Miwako emanates, not on an actual manga design. I love her character, because she feels a lot like the glue that held the Paradise Kiss gang together, with her infectious kindness and innocent optimism. I liked that, despite her energetic cuteness, she had depth and sadness. She wasn't just an empty, lovesick girl.

I can't wait to keep uploading, especially the couple shots with ~Mikayl as my handsome Arashi~ <3

You really should do more girl characters!
I didn't think I'd like doing female characters...well...I still can't tell for sure. I mean, I feel more confident in female cosplay, because I have assets. Ha. However, displaying my WIP KOS-MOS was NOT a good idea...I think I'll wait until costumes are actually done before wearing them from now on. But, I have to keep my head high and believe that it'll get done the right way for Roc-con! I can't just give up on my dream cosplay!

Adorable as always, and completely cute to look at. The quote you put matches what you looked like, and you can definatly see sad featurs behind that smile.

For the cosplay: The hair looks like you kept it in very good condition so it's not all fuzzy and staticy, which makes me amazing because those curly parts of the look like they'd be a hadnful. Did you style the wig? I'm usually not a fan of pink cosplays but after seeing this one I will definatly consider! It look so flully and cute, your nails are adorable as well >w<

About the cosplay: I actually bought the wig all curly and cute! I just did a tiny bit of teasing and cut the bangs, since they went down to my chin. x'D I didn't think I would be a fan of the pink, either. Turns out I was wrong! I really loved feeling so girly! It puts me in an entirely different mood.

Haha, I kind of feel the opposite, I think "Wow, someone I don't know actually took the time to read my stuff?" Although it must be really different, because cosplay gets a shit-load more stalkers and creepy comments than poetry

Oh yeah, cosplay is a TOTALLY different ballpark. It's more involved. Time-consuming, money-consuming, and ENDLESS fun. It involves a huge range of the arts: sewing/costuming, photography, modeling/acting, craftsmanship, graphic design/post-processing. I've learned quite a bit. ...I could probably write a book, but I won't bore you.

Anyway, with writing, try putting yourself out there. Submit a piece into a group or something.
