I decided I needed some more Star Wars in my gallery here, so here's an older Luke, Han and Leia. As they might have looked in the New Jedi Order series, except not. Because I didn't like that series. (in fact the only SW novelisations I consider canon are the Brian Daley Han Solo books
)I painted this a couple of years ago as part of an assignment in my Illustration course. In the original painting, Luke does not have a beard but I've always thought he should have. So, feeling particularly anal tonight, I added it digitally and personally think he looks much better now!
Watercolour, pastel, gouache and coloured pencils on illustration board.

Wow this looks absolutely amazing. I always imagined Luke with a beard to possibly show how much of an influence Obi-Wan had on his life. So the fact that he has his father's dark colors but Obi-Wans looks, looks so much better than that of the New Jedi Order series.

I love this picture of them- I was looking for something like this for a long time. I like how you played off the way the actors actually aged. I also like Luke with the beard because I always think of the Jedi Masters having a beard as a kind of status thing. Like Obi Wan and Qui Gon had beards so yeah...

Aww, I love this one! They all look so great, it's so them as old! I like Luke with the beard, it fits him. I like his outfit too. And Han... Aww, I just love Han!
