Description
Returning from a shakedown cruise to the outer planets of the Solar System, an Army of the Southern Cross TASC flotilla unexpectedly encounters the Masters fleet in high Earth orbit. In the ensuing clash, the Tactical Armored Space Corps (TASC) newest Veritech the VFH-10X is baptised by fire. The performance of the Armored Gryro Attack Chopper (AGACs) was deemed exemplary against the nimble Bioroids attack craft of the Masters, and soon after the type was ordered into full production as the VFH-10A Auroran. Here an Auroran carrying the Modex 222 is captured amid the brief battle as the 23rd Strike Group skirts the picket ships of the Masters fleet on their return to Earth. 222 piloted by LCDR William Vance, callsign "Green Knight", served with distinction claiming 3 unidentified Battloid-type Mecha riding large "Space Surfboards" as several pilots recounted their first look at the Master's combat mecha. LCDR Vance rose rapidly through the ranks of the TASC to eventually command one of the first active Auroran squadrons. He was killed in action during the insertion of the 15th Squad on the Master's Flagship.This work, like many others has been sitting on my Desktop for years. Started in 2014, I finally started to get around to finishing it. Sketched and colored in Managed Studio 5.

ここでは、第23攻撃群が地球への彼らの帰還に関してゾル人艦隊の斥候艦船群に包囲され、指揮官機オーロランモデックス番号222号機 は短い戦いの中で捕えられます。
ウィリアム・ヴァンス少佐[LCDR]（コールサイン「緑の騎士」）の指揮官機 モデックス番号222号機は、数人の操縦士がゾル人の戦闘機動兵器の最初の観察により ３機の未確認のバトロイド型・機動兵器（後にバイオロイドと命名）が、大きな「宇宙サーフボード」（後にバイオバーと命名）に乗っていると主張していた。
「ウィリアム・ヴァンス少佐」は、最終的に戦術宇宙機甲団 【TASC】の戦列から急速に立ち上げられた、初の実戦オーロラン飛行／航宙戦隊を指揮した。
彼は、ゾル人のアズシャール級・旗艦で戦略機甲師団 第15分隊の第三次攻撃団としての敵艦占拠作戦の突入時に戦死しました。
この仕事は、長い間私のデスクトップに多くの他のアートワークのように眠っいました。2014年が始まるころ、私はようやく、それを終えることに手が回り始めました。ソフトウェア「MANGA STUDIO 5.0(CLIP STUDIO PAINT Pro)」でスケッチされて、色をつけられます。

Nice. Not often you see fan art of Southern Cross -- and the Auroran no less. Quite a treat. If I had to criticize anything, I guess I might say that the head looks a little smallish. But that's probably accurate to the lineart...

I didn't even bother to look it up as it was a last minute change, and I even have the document somewhere around here... For about 2 years it has been a stylized "V" for LT I think? Still not looking it up. In the end I Went with III because I wanted to see something different.

I like these AGACS even better then the spartan hovertanks. Southern Cross/Robotech Masters is highly underrated.
Pound for pound it had the most battles of the three Robotech chapters!

I don't get all the hate for this chapter. Yeah, it's the weakest of the saga, but I still liked it. Hell, I'm a fan of the Spartas more than the Valkyrie or the Alpha Fighter

I know what you mean. The AGACS was pretty cool back in the day. Always thought it was overlooked as winning design. The original animation while serviceable for the time didn't do it any favors though. Thanks for the comment!

This work is amazing! the Veritch has a very dynamic pose without falling in the "dancing ballet robot" problem in all latest Macross series. Also the ships were very well made and you clearly know how to capture the ambience of the Southern Cross battles.

Yes, yes you do. For all its warts, it is by far the better version when viewed without a bias toward the original material, in my humble opinion.. I've watched all the OAs and they are hard to stomach. Some people forget that the only reason we have animation in the states now is due to works like Robotech, and people like Carl Macek.

I have to admit that when I was younger, I tended to overlook the SC saga – I watched it and enjoyed it, but I still thought of it as the weakest of the three. Now though, I find that it has a special charm for me, and I probably re-watch it at least as often as the others, especially the last half of the saga. I’m not fond of all of the mecha designs, but I love the TASC ships and there were some really neat aircraft that were (unfortunately) only shown briefly.
