Description Took some time off from art and social media. Spent some time reading, play games and spend more time with friends. I needed the off time

Now, i'm slowly getting back on track~

This art is based on one of my pen and ink work. The idea came to me a long time ago and I originally planned to do this with acrylic. But seeing I'm still very much a noob with acrylic, I did it with Krita instead. I first panned out this idea on my sketchbook a while ago, about releasing some burden from everyday life and just realize we cannot do everything. Letting go feels better and it helps one to pick a battle. It is exactly what I did for a week and a half; just forget about everything and just relax and enjoy the little stuffs like reading a comic book. Now I have a refreshed mind and clearer view of what I am going to do.

ooo ~
is that steam representing burden and being released from the body ?
Also at first, I saw them as birds pecking into the body. oh my ~ xD

But yeh ~ some time off helps the body to recovers ~

You're right, they're birds! xD

But i didn't want to do realistic birds, thus the billowy shapes...

Yeah, i really needed some time off for both mental and body health~ 2018 is starting to be busier than i thought it would be :'D

Lovely piece, it looks delicate and sad, but nice flow and colors!
I would've loved to have seen you finish this with acryllic though, or maybe some watercolors? The only way to succeed is just try and go for it!

It's good to take some time off sometimes, I hope you have renieuwed strength!

Thank you~

I'm still learning acrylic, so far, only one of my acrylic painting had been finished nicely. The rests are ruined hahah. But that won't stop me from learning And i agree wholeheartedly, the only way to succeed is to just go for it~

Indeed so!
In my opinion, watercolors are "easier" altough you need to do lots of layering and like textures to make it look detailed and good, but I don't know, I've always felt like it had an easier vibe to it

You're welcome, and you can do it, I'm sure!

I struggle a lot with watercolor than acrylic actually hahah

With acrylic, i know the right amount of water and applying it, my main problem is how to get the finished result.

But with watercolor, i kept putting too much water or too little water, so the coloring always looked hideous...

Yeah, I guess you just have to do and learn it.. Haha and everybody is different too
But I can def understand what you're trying to say, if watercolor isn't blended nicely it can look unpretty o:
