A voice slows him down for a bit.Pluto: Hey come back here, *giving chase* I was almost ready to pounce!
Bright Man: *running now* G-go away, or face my million watts!
Pluto: !!! *comes crashing to a temporary halt*
Confident that he's lost Pluto, Bright Man keeps running until he encounters a cave mouth. He doesn't want to run back to the campsite, lest he let his brobots and human sister die at the mighty claws of Pluto.
Bright Man: *whew* N-now don't come any closer, o-or else you won't be able to see for a week...!
Pluto then makes an "I'm watching you" gesture, before promptly retreating to the bush he was hiding in before.
Bright Man: Mental note, mental note... *turning around to gather himself* Don't give in to curiosity and check out any moving bushes...

Makes him all the more feral (but still able to speak). Fun fact, I like to interpret him as the stupid one among the Stardroids, who falls for the most simple ruses, lets his guard down at the most inopportune times, and gets distracted by just about anything.
