Description
These are currently all of the incarnations of Link who appeared in The Legend of Zelda series as the main protagonists for more than 25 years so far.

Incarnations/Reincarnations of the Hero:
Hylia's Chosen Hero was the first hero in a very ancient era where the Goddess Hylia lived among her people and protected the Triforce that was given to her by the three Golden Goddesses. She also gave her blessed sailcloth to him. He was first referenced in Skyward Sword after Link reenacted the role of the hero in the Wing Ceremony. Although he played a major role in Skyward Sword manga, where he is depicted as an adult rather than in his late teen.

Link from Skyward Sword is one of the earliest heroes from the Zelda chronology. He is the successor of Hylia's chosen hero, also chosen by the Goddess Hylia herself, although he is from a far distant era which occurs several thousands of years after the era of the Goddess Hylia. Link was destined to complete the trials of the hero to awaken his unbreakable spirit, turning the Goddess Sword to the infamous Master Sword and become the hero of legend. With the help of Fi, Link defeated the Demon King Demise, who cursed those with the spirit of the hero (Link), the blood of the goddess (Princess Zelda) and the hatred of the demon king reborn as being (Ganon) to be eternally bound to an endless curse, a cycle with no end. After defeating Demise, Link and Zelda settled on the surface which would eventually known as Hyrule and established a kingdom.

The hero's legacies, those who came after Link and the first hero of the world would incarnate or reincarnate to protect the Goddess Hylia's mortal descendants, Princess Zelda and the Royal Family of Hyrule. Furthermore, the noble Knights of Hyrule are descended from the legendary hero who governed the Crest of Courage. The incarnations of Link would also eventually earn the sacred crest and virtue, the Triforce of Courage.

Suggestions:
There are also some who possess the Spirit of the Hero who have not been playable yet, like the earliest incarnation of Link, the Goddess' Hero, from an era thousands of years before Skyward Sword, the Hero of Men from a century before the events of The Minish Cap, also the Hero of the Four Sword from between The Minish Cap and Four Swords. There could also be more incarnations of Link in-between the Unified Timeline (especially before Ocarina of Time which could take place in Hyrule or Termina so it could reveal some origins of Majora's Mask), between Twilight Princess and Four Swords Adventure from the Child Timeline, where Hyrule got in a conflict with a dark tribe of demons after the ending of Twilight Princess, between Tri Force Heroes and The Hyrule Fantasy (it certainly can be possible, but it may be doubtful because of A Link Between Worlds and Tri Force Heroes directly led to an era of peace where the wise King of Hyrule protected the kingdom with the Triforce). Certainly, it would be interesting to see what happens after the latest chronological entries of the three split timelines, like Zelda II: The Adventure of Link in the Downfall Timeline, Four Swords Adventure in the Child Timeline and Spirit Tracks in the Adult Timeline, as confirmed by Hyrule Historia that it is not necessarily over.

P.S.: With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the way, this image will be updated after the revelation of the story's timeline placement. The game looks way too obvious that it takes place several years after Ocarina of Time. It could be the latest chronological entry to the Adult Timeline, after Spirit Tracks. That is how Hyrule would have looked after an unknown amount of years after the world is freed from the Great Sea. Or by any chance, the game can take place in the Child Timeline several years after Four Swords Adventure.
