Description
Bantoks are a mostly aquatic species from a watery moon called Delmago. Delmago has no real land masses, but is dotted with sandbars and islands made by a local coral eating fish over millions of years. Bantoks have gills and cannot breathe air, only able to survive on land with the aid of algal rebreathers engineered by the Brachyboreans. Bantok language doesn’t function the same as other vocal species, as they communicate using resonance from the air sacks atop their heads, making them hard to understand even when speaking other languages. Bantoks display one of the most extreme cases of sexual dimorphism in the galaxy, with females being excessively larger than the males. This is due to pressures in the early years of the Bantoks, in which the ratio of males to females was drastically imbalanced leading to aggression from the males, causing the females to evolve extreme gigantism in order to survive. This is reflected in Bantok society, the males having become subservient to the females, competing viscously for the ability to mate. The most prominent Bantok is a female named D’Onna, who’s the top warrior and a member of Kel Pax’s Interceptors.
