Description
The Gladians are descendants of the Pinetarrans of the planet Barrenla (Pitchtrap’s species). Originally known by their species name, Polyisoplex, they’re a race of large rubbery humanoids that, from a human perspective, look like they’re made of tires. The divide between the two races developed out of a deep disdain and superiority complex on the part of Polyisoplex. This reached a breaking point, and the Polyisoplex were forcibly evicted from Barrenla by the Pinetarrans. To distance themselves from their ancestors, they would find a new home world on a rocky planet called Gladora and rechristen themselves as the Gladian Empire. The Gladians take part heavily in the industrial trade of the outer worlds, supplying almost all rubber and plastic products. The current ruler of the Gladians is a rotund individual named Heftos, his closest officials being his children, Lord Ripgard and Lady Flexinzeal. Lord Ripgard is the master general of the powerful Gladian Army and Lady Flexinzeal oversees the running of Gladian society. The Gladians, particularly King Heftos, are rather shady and take part in a lot of illegal trade, such as the illegal pet trafficking on Palyndroma. This is what brought King Heftos into conflict with Lex Hex, who thwarted a shipment of Otarii cubs (Sealord’s species) that were being harvested for their stomach acid. By doing this, Lex Hex has become one of Gladora’s most wanted, though he has an ally in Lady Flexinzeal who doesn’t agree with her fathers policies.
