Description :edit: Alright, i do believe i am happy with this now. although his eye is supposed to be looking twords the gear. he was gonna be like "where the hell does this one go?" i guess its more like "GREAAT it broke again can i ever get a break?"

(The following paragraph about the character in this image will be subject to change, and may be a tad out of order)

Psyche is one of the two gods in my series who rule over time-space Fate and life energy, his counterpart is Karau. He can be seen to represent control while she can be seen to represent chaos. In ancient times the two fell in love and ended up endangering the world because they ended up prioritizing each others health over their jobs. because of that the two star-crossed-lovers were punished severely, Karau even more so than psyche. Psyche was forced to live out eternity alone while Karau was locked in a closed dimension, forced to watch as everyone was reborn. She was forced to watch her lover continue his life without her, which Karau could've handled if it weren't for Wannalla. Wannala was essentially a new Karau; born with the powers and similar appearance of Karau but with a new mind and soul. Psyche ended up finding wannalla and falling in love with her while Karau  could only watch, however having been centuries since her banishment the seal keeping her in her domain was weakening. Eventually she managed to push through to the world where Wanalla resided. Wanalla thinking Karau as some sort of fairy godmother made a deal with her, Wanalla gave Karau her powers and in exchange Karau would stick around and help her become a wonderful ruler for her kingdom(did i not mention she was a princess?) Unfortunately soon after Wanalla was killed by an Assassin and Psyche had to feel the pain of losing his love not once, but twice,  and in his agony he ended up killing himself. The other Gods still pitied him and ended up bringing him back and erasing his memory, he continued walking the world and he and Karau continued to cross paths every time they met Karau would cause trouble and try to make him remember her, eventually however for her deeds he sealed her away once again in her domain. Thousands of years would go by before he started to remember what he forgot and he closed himself up in his domain, around this time the other gods decided to sleep and created 'avatars' to walk the worlds instead of them (by avatars i mean like wanalla, they were the incarnations of the other gods who held their power and similar appearances but with new minds and souls) Psyche, going out of his mind started manipulating the fates of these 'avatars' looking desperately for  a positive outcome for he and karau. He would constantly 'reset the game' so to speak and the lines began to blur to him, he started seeing all karau's avatars as not avatars but her herself, and all his own avatars as himself. Similarly Karau always watched the avatars and started seeing all Psyches avatars as he himself and her own avatars as just some person, her jealousy would fester for years before once again her seal weakened and she entered the mortal world to cause chaos.

By the start of my series All the original gods and goddesses are dead, "The 14" are the last true gods/goddesses as they were created by the original gods but the original gods died sometime after the original punishment of Karau and Psyche they were all ancient beings who ran out of time. Normally gods/goddesses cant die and are invincible but once they use up all their power and energy they do start to age and die. While the 14 are dormant There are many other 'god-like beings' that try to look over things in their stead these 'pseudo  gods' were given 'god-like' powers and invisibility by the 14 and can live for millions of years there are many of them out there and are titled by the mortals as 'The Guardians' there are several groups of Guardians; the Underworld Guardians, tend to the dead and afterlifes and incarnations of the living, there is one for just about every planet. The Overworld Guardians sit back from above and deal with keeping harmony between elements and deal with huge catastrophes. There are also some Mortal-Bound Guardians who walk the living world to understand mortals and deal with more local catastrophes or other things.

I imagine psyche's domain as a dark room with large stained glass windows, and a large clock at the back. Hundreds of bookshelves and stacks upon stacks of books that don't fit on the shelves. Several Dusty tables covered in papers and open books. His Domain is a mess which reflects upon his dwindling sanity. His clock is constantly breaking and hes always fixing it, its an obsession for him to get it completely perfect, and it keeps him busy so he has no time to do anything dangerous like mess around with the living avatars.

:edit: i altered the background cause i thought it sucked and wasn't detailed enough. I referenced a drawing of a stained glass window from google. Still plan on altering his hands.

another Wip , i plan on redrawing his hands and possibly his head/face before i finish coloring him .  His design is heavily influenced by Julius Monrey from "Alice in the country of hearts"  His design was Exactly what i had imagined Psyche as looking so i couldn't help imitating it

the clock is referenced from a wall clock i saw on google. www.decorativeartefacts.co.uk/…
the rocky texture i used on the clock and the walls  came with Photoshop.
