Personally, I like the Casual best. Okay, I got really tired of drawing his friggin' hair and you can see that. The top 3 were really good, the bottom 3 were quickies since I got fed up with the "cute" part.

Short Story [ Will add later]
1.) Original:

The commander stood up front and center at the podium of the briefing room. Ending his monologue, his gaze quietly scanned over the audience of his men, slowly moving from one side of the room, then to the other. As his troops chattered amongst themselves, Adam's attention wandered back to concluding the meeting; his hands fell flat upon the metal of the screen before him, fingers lightly pushing the keys that turned off the digital messages behind him.

After, he continued looking down the row of men before his eyes settled on one of his newest recruits, little Miss Aran. The man's hands dropped down by his sides, then folded behind his back as their eyes locked. Samus, she was his trouble student; she constantly attracted his attention (whether she or he wanted to or not) due to her rough attitude.

Adam stared at her before a barely visible smile touched his lips. He spoke in his own joking manner, "Any objections, Lady?"

One couldn't help but love the trouble child a bit more than the rest, certainly not Adam.

2.) Casual:

Adam frowned deeply as he scanned over the headlines of Galactic News. It read:

"Planet Phaaze Destroyed!"

The title would have been quite interesting if he hadn't been serving in the Galactic Federation. To him, this title had been over dramatized.

Adam began reading through the pitiful article, browsing through its content. Simply just from reading it, he only came to an upsetting conclusion that people did not understand the dangers that would continue to exist hadn't the planet imploded.

Phazon was a very cancerous element. The long term risks were not worth the short bursts of extreme power. Phazon was a terrible pollutant, corrupting and mutating everything it touched.

The man could only scoff at the frontpage of the daily news. Who in the galaxy allowed this to be published, he wondered angrily. Probably one of those crazed warmongering scientists.

However, it didn't stop him from finishing the article. This way, if he chose to spend some time to contact the poor journalist, who was probably paid a good sum to write the page in a couple of minutes, he would be able to supply himself with ammo for a verbal assault. After all, knowledge was key.

Adam continued reading until his eyes looked over a familiar name. He narrowed his eyes for a brief second, rereading the name he had just passed.

"...Barely escaping Planet Phaaze, Samus Aran..."

'Samus...'

Maybe reading through this disgusting article was a good thing after all. Somehow, Adam felt pride swelling up inside of chest just by the sight of Samus' name.

3.) Cute:

Adam grinned quietly to himself while looking through his old photos from all those years ago. He flipped through the many pictures tucked safely away in his photo albums, until he stumbled upon an odd little section he had made some time back.

There was a neat red ribbon that bookmarked the entire chapter of pictures. He wasn't sure how a beautiful piece of fabric got there, but it was fitting in someway.

With his gloved hands, he slowly lifted up the ribbon. Upon a closer inspection, it was a Galactic Federation medal. Oddly enough, it was one of the medals rewarded to trainees, one of the very first medals awarded to...

Samus!?

4.) Fantasy:

The horrid screeching was deafening. The cries the beast would make as it charged into battle were nothing compared to the screams of pure agony it let out as death began its calling.

The monstrous dragon roared into the sky in raw pain and fury. Its flesh was torn open and falling apart as its green blood splattered and gushed beneath its purple behemoth of a body. It growled, glared, and groveled at the feet of its maker.
