Description A photo of the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius. It's actually a binary star system composed of Sirius A (an A-type main sequence star roughly twice as massive as the Sun) and Sirius B (a faint white dwarf) only 8.6 light years away. Honestly, I'm not certain whether this picture captured Sirius B. If it's present, it would have to be the little bump alongside Sirius A, but that may be a result of wind vibrating the scope or atmospheric turbulence. Nevertheless, I'm quite happy with how the shot turned out given what a difficult target Sirius was due to its sheer brilliance.

This photo has undergone some basic edits to reduce noise and increase clarity, but nothing fancy.

Taken using my Meade DS-2080, SVBONY 20mm long-relief eyepiece, Celestron smartphone adapter, and an iPhone SE
