Description "Ladies...? You're not mad at me anymore, now are you?"

Oh Tarrlok. No. No we're not. so beautiful

Holy Shatner u guise.

I got Photoshop yesterday, and this is what I did with it. FINALLY, gettin' some color in my gallery! So I know it's not the greatest of coloring jobs, but for the record this 1) is my first go at it, and 2) was done using the track pad on my laptop. No mouse or tablet, so I'm sorry about the un-smooth lines.

Got any tips for an amateur Photoshopper? Is there a good way to fix those lumpy lines, or do I just need to stick with a mouse? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Amazing! love it. Especially shades and folds. I FORGIVE YOU TARRLOK pro tip: use the pen tool. the pen tool is your friend. it's literally connect the dots. I can't draw a straight line for my life. best part is, it actually is easier to use pen tool with mouse, just be sure to hold on to the points and drag to get those curved edges you so gloriously want. Hope that helps :U

I feel like I tried too hard and shaded a little over-zealously. But I'm glad you like it! And thank you so much for the tip, I will definitely try that out, because beautiful lines are just not happening for me. D:

This looks really great! Plus I <3 Tarrlok

Really nice job for just getting photoshop yesterday :]

As a photoshop user I suggest if you aren't happy with the lines, just do the line art on paper, and then ink it. Take a picture or scan, and then make the lineart black & white, and increase the contrast as needed. Then in photoshop create a new layer and set it to "multiply" instead of "normal." Then you can color without having to even mess with lines. :] If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'll try to help or answer, but again this is just the way I do it, it seems like you're doing great anyways

Thanks very much! :}

Yeah, I'm adjusting to photoshop, I think I've gotten a little better with the lines (these here are just messy and lumpy), but that suggestion you made there sounds nice! I might try that out just to see how it looks! I certainly appreciate any advice, since I am such a noob at photoshoppin.

Well hullo there luv! ;} Ahh, thanks so much, I'm glad you like it! I do plan to color more; even though I'm not the greatest at it, I've tasted colors and I want more! It'll probably be flat, boring shading for a while though. But it's a start!!

Thanks! I don't think I was ever mad either, but I know there was a lot of hatred for him after episode 8; but I figured after the way the first season ended, there's no way anyone can still be holding on to that grudge. He's just so nice to look at. ;}

LOVE IT! It's so nice to finally see one of your pieces colored! This turned out wonderful and really gives your piece life! Anyway, onto the good stuff!

If you can afford to get a tablet (wacom bamboos are perfect and affordable), that will help immensely with your accuracy with your lines and even your coloring. If you're stuck with a mouse/track pad, your best bet would be to scan in your line work and just retrace it with the brush tool. It will take some practice and time to get the hang of your track pad, but it's doable.

Photoshop is such a great tool when it comes to digital painting, always remember that layers are your friends! If you really struggle with your line work, another thing you can do is really clean up your original sketch and put that layer on multiply (it should be a drop down in your layers block). What this will do is make your sketch transparent to any layer underneath, so you could always add color under those layers and it wont affect your sketch.

Either way, it really depends on your style and sometimes it takes time to figure out what works best, but for your first attempt, this looks really great! Good luck with photoshop and keep practicing!

I think a tablet might be cool to get some day, but right now I literally have no money, so scanning and retracing my line art is where I'm at right now, that's what I did here. I have a very basic understanding of Photoshop, so I definitely layered it up, but I don't know any fancy tricks to get things just how I want them yet. I'll definitely try to use your advice, you're a pro with the digital painting!

Thank you so much though, I'm happy to have some color too! It's a nice change of pace. I'll definitely keep practicing! :} I'll probably look up some tutorials and stuff, anything would be helpful at this point.
