My number of drawings has gone down considerably since I began to offer commissions for them. For the most part, I am still only drawing if someone requests one for free, not many are willing to pay anything for my art. Still, I am glad to be able to draw, and happy if I can do a favor for a friend in the process.
I did this so my friend could give this as a gift to one of her relatives, unfortunately the dog died so long ago my friend had never seen it in person and all the photos were very old and discolored. To me, the photo references looked like he was brown, tan and white, and though she had another relative who remembered the dog check my progress for color accuracy, I did not find out until I finished it that the dog was black and white, not brown at all! So I made a grayscale version too so it isn't a total waste. Still, it discourages me that I did not get it right. Here is the main reference I used.
Anyway, I hope my friend's family member likes it. I used Prismacolor Premium colored pencils.
