Description
My good friend is often harrassing me about wanting to see my majestic beast, so here it is Herlinde!I was telling her about its sheer girth and length, and she was like, "Oh man, I must see your majestic beast!!!"
So yeah, it IS really big! 50cm!!
And SOOOO long!
I should weigh it...I would guess about 8 pounds? It actually makes marks on my skin if I hold him due to the spikeyness.

To also clarify, this is a vinyl model kit that I built made by Atlier G1, not my original sculpt. I had to build it, fix seams, sculpt in some details to hide seams and flaws in the cast, and painted it. I made the base from scratch.

Thank you very much for the critique. I see there is some confusion about this, I added a clarification in the description, that this is a model kit I built and painted, not my sculpt. I try to make a point to say which of my posts are my sculpts and which are models, in the comments I have said it a few times, but I guess i forgot to make it clear. So now I have fixed this, sorry!

This sculpture is amazing!! A lot of hard work and effort was put into this sculpture and it clearly shows. It is no wonder why this was suggested to be a daily deviation. One thing I like about this sculpture is that it combines a lot of elements from past Godzilla appearances. I can see bits and pieces of the Final Wars Godzilla, GMK Godzilla and 2002-2003 Godzilla. I can see this design of Godzilla being in a future film (heck, maybe the new upcoming movie). Keep up the good work, Legrandzilla. Maybe even make sculptures of other giant monsters

Ok, I'll start by saying that I'm an otaku since way before I knew the word, and a Gojira fan for over 30 years so I hope I'm qualified to comment on the likeness! I'm also a modelmaker (but don't own a digicam).
You've captured the textures well, and got the correct grey base colouring (Big G is not green).
I love the way you have him standing threateningly over the Japanese archipelago, which can be read as representing both his threat from the early Toho films, and his later re-invention as a superhero character defending Japan.
My 4/5 for originality is because you didn't invent the character, but still deserve kudos for an original depiction.
The 4.5/5 for technique is because I've got a wee niggle that his legs look a little short.
The 5* ratings mean I don't think you can improve these points.

Thank you for the critique! But I cannot take credit for the sculpt itself, this is a model kit I built and painted, and made a base for. It was quite an undertaking to build and paint all the same..

Ah, well, you did fool me. That said, as a modelmaker, I know how difficult filling joint lines on a scaley surface can be, so I think the comment about the textures is still entirely valid.

Oh that's a very nice Godzilla design there. Looks like a bit of GMK, some Godzilla 2000/Megaguirus/Mechagodzilla III and a bit of King Kong vs. Godzilla too along with some tweaks.

I would be proud of Gareth if he looked like either the sketch i made, or this. Especially this. This Outstanding sculpt giving him elements from the first Godzilla, accompanied by total badassness...
