Just a little progress thing. Ppl ask for tutorials but I don't really want to make one hahahaha.. one thing being I feel that I dont' know the full potential of photoshop enough to make a tutorial. Maybe some other time, for now I hope this can give some of you a little idea about how I do things.I usually work in sections, I know some other artists just slap on colours and mold it, but I don't usually do that. I also like to finish sections before moving on, and then in the end just kinda.. do a touch-over for everything.

What type of brush did you use for shading? Is it a preset brush in Ps or is a brush you or another person made? Your shading is amazing and i love to know. Thank you.

Do you use the pen tool for linearts, or do you use just a black brush?

How do you get your lineart to have such variation in thickness and thinness? And also how are you getting it so smooth and straight, etc?
My #1 problem with CS3, which is not much different then CS4 is my lineart. I have ALWAYS struggled with it, that's why 4 years ago I dropped drawing anime and switched to cliche dogs. I'm always wanting to go back to human art, bt my problem wit lineart, and also coloring hair hinders me and makes me go back to my crutch, dogs/animals. I want to expand to humans and manga/anime again before I head off to college a year...but don't know how well that'll work until I fix my problem with lineart.

OMG I color like that too. oAo You are the only other person that I have seen that does this. Every tutorial I have seen, they put all the base colors on one layer, then the shading on another, etc...
