My favorite cover thus far
I wasn't too happy with the issue 5 cover. It just didn't do anything for me from the get go.
this one was quite easy, fast and fun to do. Some pieces come to life on their own. ( Also, I just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 when I did this one so the tech was inspired by it. Awesome game but I'm now saving myself for Fallout 3. I just hope Bethesda doesn't screw it up by using the same boring writing as Oblivion.)
Laura's colored version was friggin amazing as well! She also fixed up Cap's costume for me, I forgot to draw in his stripes.
One more issue to go!

I am learning a lot from looking at your pieces.
I wanted to confirm a few things.
Cloth textures have a more shuttle gradient from light to shadow while metallic objects have jagged black shadow along the planes with no gradient.
Also leather's texture is like a mixture of cloth and metal in that it has the light source, unmixed with shadow: but, a slow subtle gradient to a deep shadow.
Am I right about thinking that?
Oh and Love the detail on Iron mans arm.

The details on Iron Man's armor are just plain batshit insane, but I don't like how Capt America's lower half is a jagged shadow without even proper anatomy...

I would have to agree that this is by far the best cover, that you have done for Secret War. Real slick job on the shading and I really like the way you can make the viewer see the different textures in each of the heroes uniforms. Good job overall. The line work (shading) is getting reminiscent of Mr. Travis Charest, so congrats on that. Can't wait for the Ultimate Showdown Continuation, dealing with a much smaller cast of characters, I'm pretty sure we're all in for a treat of crazy details and composition, just like this cover.
