hehe, regretfully the movement is still on going at this very moment. They are not likely to get what they asked for.

No, I don't think they will either. So proud of the Hong Kong people for trying, either way!

I hope they've impacted TW in a good way? I went to the protest in London outside the Beijing embassy and there were supporters from Korea, Tibet and Taiwan, too.. it was really nice to see!

yea, i am aware of the support from all over the world, saw it on some independent media coverage. Even within mainland itself, some get arrested for showing support to the movement.

As for TW, the influence, i would say its mutual. If you are aware, there were a Sunflower Movement happened early ths year where some student occupied the legislation hall. in fact, some parties have commented that the Umbrella movement is a replica of the Sunflower movement. I would say it might be an inspiration, but definitely not a replica. They are so different in terms of involvement, participants background, ignition point... so on. After all, the nature/culture/common traits of HK people and TW people is actually very very much diff.

At this point, TW is having election in the end of month. The conventional party Guo-Min-Dang (colored blue), is reckon to be pro-mainland. As a matter of fact, the communist party (in mainland) is working with it toward unity under the carpet.

I am sure the Umbrella movement has brought a big impact to the vote caster in TW, especially at this very moment.
Hope you dont mind me being so long-winded. haha

are yourself from HK?
