The black lines were inked by hand using a Rapidograph pen. The color was done using Photoshop.

Actually the reason Jon seems to be having a more kick-ass time of it is because unlike the other guys, he gives me the impression of truly liking the shit he puts himself into. He complains about the demons and things that hurt him, but he continues to bury himself in more of it, so what else can one conclude other than that he likes to wrestle his demons?

Also, I just got what starluck said about the voting!! I CANT VOTE!!! WHY CANT I VOTE!!!!????
And now for my comment, I am amazed at what greys can do for a drawing if they are applied correctly, and you have surely mastered them, for a few exceptions this drawing is completely gray, but at the same time you can see colors beyond the aparent colorlessness <--is that a word? or did i just made it up?
Anyway... the expression of terror on that guy is a kodak moment, how terrified can he be that he burst open his restrain jacket and is holding back the monster with his feet.
well. i am off now,

Yeah, you're right, the cropped one does give more urgency. Very nice.

wow, what an impact this image makes
I love the composition, how everything in the drawing is sory of going in the direction of the figure with the straightjacket. Good colouring and great use of darkness

Took a look at both this and the uncropped version, and I gotta agree with you, the cropped gives the pic a bigger sense of urgency, as well as clautrophobia. The "beast" dominates almost all of the picture, covering more than half completely, almost on top of the poor patient. It takes up ALL the space, unlike the uncropped, where there's some empty space around it. This gives a sense of freedom, ways to escape this beast. On the other hand, notice how in the cropped there seems to be almost no breathing space, the guy close to being wholly smothered by the monster. This far more terrifying, because there just doesn't seem to be any way to escape. He's in the corner, and that thing is getting bigger, with no place to go except where HE is conducting his last stand (well, sit, since he's technically not standing... oh you get the idea).
Mood is handled incredibly, I like how everything is touched with gray, including the guy's brown hair, the metal buckles on the straightjacket, and even the purple "tongue". It really is like a nightmare, there is no colour, no life, everything seems dead or dying, and there is nothing but despair and madness. Both the creature and the victim seem to be boneless, the folds in the straightjacket making him seem flexible, coupled with the superbly exaggerated expression of utter terror, and even the dreadlocks add to the invertebrate scheme.
Love the monster, with its tumorous, flabby body, tusks and horribly insectoid attributes. It's like an insane chimera, an obscene amalgam of all the guy's personal demons (thus why there seem to be strange imps pasted all about it), very scary.
Aye, the quote goes perfectly with the pic, but there's another bit of symbolism that I really liked. The guy is in a padded cell, ergo, he can be considered to be in a safe and stable environment. But the demon is actually coming from outside the cell, ripping it open to get at its victim. The "monsters" of the guy's psyche come from deep within (from below, underground, "buried fears", breaking into his soft and cushy home to devour him.
And as always, the lineart is awesome, the colouring beyond words, and.. you have a friggin cool art style, Leks. Rocking pic!!

Edit:
The cropped image is muted to better suit the idea of a dream or nightmare. I left the full view in colour because I cannot decide which one I like best.
