I hate to keep offering unwanted corrections, since I enjoy and respect your art and artistry--but Legolas and Gimli did NOT leave from the Havens, which were abandoned when Cirdan the Shipwright himself took ship. Legolas built the last ship in Ithilien and sailed from there, with Gimli allowed to accompany him by the specific intercession of Lady Galadriel.
Tolkien found the point worth mentioning. It's a lovely image, and their friendship was a beautiful thing and the healing of an old wound between both their peoples and their families.
