Oh man, I haven't looked at this for ages... I wish I could do it over - I wasn't sure about their nationalities either - I kinda did a mix - a made up nationality ^_^

Not stupid at all - it's my interpretation so not everyone is going to understand - we all see book characters differently ^_^ but you had it spot on - Bowman in the back with Pinto- sisi on the left then bo and Kes, I always imagined Mumpo to be older as if he was held back to be in the others grade as he wasn't as smart...

Having heard all three via audiobooks, I have to agree with you - though personally the first book shall always be my firm favourite out of the three.

I love the Wind on Fire series! I really should read through them again. Seriously the best fantasy series I ever read. Is that Mumpo and Pinto in the back? If so Mumpo looks so grown up in this picture, which makes him and Pinto being betrothed at the end a bit disturbing. Still really like the linework anyway.

I agree- I always thought the Mumpo/Pinto relationship was a little creepy - remember she was only 2 in the first book and the twins were what... 14/15, so a fair few years difference... But thanks about the line work! ^_^

Good god I haven’t read these books in years! Man they were the best thing I ever read when I was 10, they were the first serious fantasy books I came across. Though I don’t think I ever finished firesong, I will have to get round to re-reading them all.
Great picture I immediately recognised each character... after a quick trip down memory lane...wow I really need to find these again.

I've never met anyone who knows of this trilogy, but I read it maybe five or six years ago and loved it! Now I will have to go back and re-read them! Thank you for reminding me, this is a lovely drawing!
