I find her character to be that typical "tough" girl character, and she didn't feel like she had much else going for her than that stereotypical tough girl personality.

Oh really? I felt she had a few layers - I liked that she didn't let herself be vulnerable due to the nature of her surroundings and upbringing but still had this innocence and wonder that bubbled to the surface every now and then
