Description
I've been trying to design a main character and, inevitably, I keep getting distracted and drawing non-applicable characters instead. The sweater-wearers are the most on task (excluding Scottie), and I'm kind of circling an idea there; obviously I've decided the girl will be stepping forward with one foot, SUPER ESSENTIAL GOOD JOB SELF. And then I drew a couple slices of watermelon because there was a rando corner of the paper left available. I dunno, any of these standing out to you, internet? Not counting Pinkie, who I have no desire or need for (or Crazy Eyes, who frightens me a little).

Something about the girl in the green sweater speaks to me... It might just be her boots. I'd have to know more about the story to say which is best.

The gist is "lighthouse heroics". Hence the nice warm sweaters! Given time and feedback, I'm between her and orange sweater at the moment.

Aw, thanks! I think she has the most personality but sadly the character is a little too young for the story (it involves being left alone overnight). Thank you! ^^

2,4,7,and 9 all appeal to me, and I think, more than their appearance (all the girls are cute), it's that they all somehow look as though they have intention; they're looking at something and intending to go there or do something. They got Plans. The others all seem satisfied with where they are; more static.
Just for looks - 9 if what you want is a classic tomboy; 4 or 7 for utter darlingness, but maybe too young to be much more than cute? 2 looks to me like a real sweetie, but with a mind of her own. She looks ordinary enough to identify with, but as though she could have some surprises in her too.

Second and fourth on the top, second on the bottom, and the watermelon slices. I'm a watermelon fiend and I didn't even know yellow watermelons existed--clearly I must bridge this gap in my education!

They are SO GOOD. Not quite the same flavor but the rind is really tender so you can eat pretty much all the way to the green edge. Yum yum yum.

Waaah, these are SOO cute! The ones that mostly strike out for me are the 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 9th.
Number one is adorable, and 7 looks like she could be her younger sister. But I also think 9 is adorable, and looks like she would be the explorer-lets-go-climb-a-tree type. In fact, 9 reminds me of my older sister so I like her best!

I have an affinity for the redhead on the bottom (brown skirt). But that's probably because I looked like that when I was little.
Second choice is the next girl on the right. I like the idea of a little girl hiding their hair for some reason.
