Description The Weka is a species of flightless rail found only in New Zealand. It is sometimes mistaken for a kiwi - although the two look almost nothing alike, at least to a bird lover like me! Weka are noted for their curious tendencies and love of thievery. They have been known to sneak into tents to steal food, but also favour shiny objects, which they use to decorate their nests. Obviously the one pictured has musical taste, either that or she doesn't believe that you should take ipods into the native forest... Anyhow, when not eating pillaged food, weka eat almost anything - insects, lizards and frogs, berries and shoots, baby birds, eggs... Basically, they're the pigs of New Zealand. Their loud "CCOOOOEEEEE" call has awoken (rudely) many a tramper. But sadly in many areas their numbers are dwindling, although in other areas, they are still on the menu!

Have you been studying composition as part of your course? I listened to a short lecture on illustrating Children's Books a few years ago and its surprising what sticks with you ^^

Thank you.

I think it almost comes naturally to me now. Things just look wrong if the composition is off.

thank you for the compliment. Maybe soon I can do an art school too.

I wouldnt know which one to reccomend, although foundation art at polytech seemed pretty good. I would reccomend the creation art course but I was at the last one, it doesnt run anymore. Look around, research and you'll find what you're looking for

I do not reccomend natcoll. everyone ive talked to so far whos been there say its rubbish. I personally had a bad experience with it by them reccomendig me to take a graphic design course before an animation one andit killed my spirit..its taken me years to recover from that
