I told y'all I'd be bringing on the Midna and Zant.Have some pre-TP Midna/Zant where nothing bad happened yet so nothing hurts at the moment.

I ship Midna with Link but I really like the idea of her and Zant having a thing going on before everything went WRONG because it puts that much more emotional weight on their hatred for each other and this is a lovely work of art either way so

I believe this is my favorite art that you've drawn of these two. The lighting and coloring is great, and I love Midna's and Zant's expressions. What IĀ like the most is how Zant is holding her. The way the other Twili are looking around make it seem like the love between Zant and Midna is a forbidden or taboo one. Then again, the title "Hideaway" gives that away, too. Anyway, love it, and great job.

hoo boy i just sent a big, big reply to someone not long ago about midna and zant's relationship so i'll try to condense this one for my sanity.
basically i think midna and zant started off as childhood friends, to progressing into a relationship in their early teens and having a serious relationship/unofficial engagment in their late teens/adulthood. zant's a high ranking adviser who climbed his way to his ranks while midna has always maintained her princess status. as zant becomes a high ranking adviser and a candidate for the throne alongside midna, he begins to become more and more corrupted and less attentive to midna. eventually, midna breaks it off which begins the domino effect of zant slipping into insanity. he becomes so obsessed with becoming king that he doesn't notice himself going insane, but everyone else does, especially midna. the fight for the throne becomes a bitter rivalry when it comes down to just zant and midna, zant thinks he has the title all to him at this point, and becomes crushed when midna has it instead of him. he snaps, has a meltdown, and this is where ganondorf comes in at his weakest moment, thus starting the events of TP.
