      performances or participate in random subway music battles.

    Emmett has the smile and atmosphere that makes you feel like he was someone familiar and makes you want to talk about yourself. Airy and spontaneous, he
      walks and talks with one would call confidence, but he would argue that he is simply comfortable with talking to even strangers and fellow musicians.
      Although he's enthusiastic and speaks informally, he is polite and dependable. His independence makes him a rather reliable and mature person, but his inattentive
      and childish behavior makes this difficult to believe. He can also be impatient, making him more forward towards others if he sees that there is no signs of
      progress. Emmett is easily distracted whether it is from exterior or interior influences and can lost focus, something that he tries to correct but finds it difficult
      to do so.

Emmett is aware of limitations, but purposely challenges it on his own accord at a respectable level. This definitely makes things more interesting, but

    Emmett was born in America and was raised by his single mother. His father had gone away when he was extremely young so Emmett has no memories
      of the man. He honestly didn't concern himself with someone he doesn't remember, especially since his mother didn't seem to talk about him often. They
      were not well off and struggled with keeping their apartment and other necessities. Despite their troubling situation, his mother kept strong and taught
      him how to be a proper young man and learned how to dress nicely. He regularly attends to church with his mother and made connections with
      those that attended to it. Emmett kept himself busy through music and found jazz to be the one he listened to the most, and soon things settled down and
      the two were able to live comfortable in their small apartment. There were also rare occasions where his father had come down to visit his mother, but it was
      always during times when he was away.

    While continuing to attend to church at a young age, his performance in school was a little below average and found himself yearning for something to be
      passionate about. He was extremely interested in music, specifically jazz, and once he saw someone from his church bring in a saxophone his path was clear.
      He wanted to play the saxophone. Eventually, he was given his own saxophone by one of his mother's friends and everyone soon found out that Emmett
      was a natural at playing the instrument.

    He found himself playing the saxophone everyday at both school and church, realizing that once he began to play it would attract a crowd and people would
      clap along and chime in with some singing. This encouraged him to pursue music as a career, participating in concerts inside and outside of school until
      eventually one of his teachers suggested that he would be superb at Clefford Conservatory. Both his mother, peers, and close church attendants
      support this path, resulting in his church saving up and donating money to him in addition to his mother's savings for him to attend to the prestigious music school.

    "Go and have fun out there and make us proud, son," one of them had said.

    Overwhelmed by the support, he happily accepted their donation and prepared to fly off to London. Before leaving, his mother mentioned that his father was
      also a skillful saxophone player and left to pursue that passion. Emmett had reminded his mother an awful lot of his father and felt that this was to be expected.
      She kissed him goodbye and jokingly told him to kick his father's ass for not visiting them for a while.

            Through fast and upbeat pieces, he can demonstrate his power to catch these notes, but struggles with slower and calmer ones that should be relatively
              easy to play. He tends to play way too fast because he gets absorbed into the piece and trying to fix this.
