I don't see them much either. There are so few butterflies now, compared with years ago.

We had lots of butterflies in the garden now I have more flowers. But not all so beautiful as this one.

True, but lately I only look and enjoy them I don't feel the need to take pictures. I feel just like you do, nothing new to take pictures of so why should I bother.

Isn't that sad? It used to be so exciting and entertaining....

I think it's time for something different to do. I'm thinking of making a small quilt. I made a small one for my dresser and I liked it, though my sewing skills need a lot of improvement! My mother made some beautiful ones, she was very talented with fabrics. I will start small and go from there. George will be happy because I won't be wandering in the woods....

He is right, it's not always safe on your own. But it can be so relaxing. Don't you have a friend to go with you?
Maybe  you can take pictures of your quilt. I would love to see it!

No, nobody else is interested or they aren't physically able to wander the woods. Besides, they all talk too much, it would annoy me very quickly. My mother would have been good company, she enjoyed a good walk and didn't mind walking quietly some of the time. She wouldn't have had patience for frequent stops though....

I'll let you know once I finish the second one, the first one I won't show. I was in too much of a hurry, I didn't fix the mistakes.... Most of it's OK but the edge seams are a little wavy....

 You must miss her very much.   Not easy to find someone  with the same interests who is willing to walk in silence.
Nothing wrong with an artistic wavy seam. It gives it caracter.

Well, that's a unique way to look at it! I keep the "artistic" side turned to the back.... Really, I should take it apart and do it right. I have more fabric, I'm just too lazy! My next one is going to be for the dining room table so it has to be neat at least! I'm going to modify a pattern so it will be a challenge for a beginner. I hope it works out. I'm waiting for the weather to change though, don't want to miss any summer days!

You are right, enough time when winter arrives. Enjoy summer as much as you can!!
I should make one also for the twoseater to keep it dog safe but I have never done it, I have no idea how to do so.
