Don't get me wrong, I liked the sequels for what they were, but when it was just the first game, it was just a horror game. No complicated storylines or anything.I loved the second game for it's mass amount of stuff to do
I loved the third game for all the secret minigames and content
I loved the fourth game for it's new kind of gameplay
But FNaF 1 was just a horror game with a mysterious yellow bear and news clippings as it's mystery.

I can remember always talking about theories and things like that with my friends when the first and second games came out, we were all so hyped and the games were still scary to us.
It's not like that now, but the first game does indeed bring back fond memories.

Agreed, once I fully got into the fandom the game lost all the fear it had for me. I also get nostalgia when I watch Markiplier's FNAFs 1 gameplay.

I KNOW! I started watching him a year ago next month and that was the first thing I watched, so it has a special place in my heart. I don't like the fandom of FNaF, but the games are good.
