I think you did an amazing job with this one!  Really realistic looking.  I love the eyes/shading/etc on the face of the left one, especially.  And how amazing, the way the foreground and background appear blurry.

That's so kind of you to say so, thank you! Usually I'm not that much into "realistic" because I like to recognise pencil and brush strokes. I do admire photorealism, but I don't like doing it, myself. Honestly, I'd rather take a photo and declare it as such than to spend days copying it with my art materials, lol.

The only exception that I make is when I draw portraits that are supposed to be recognisable. But as you can see, the picture is by no means photorealstic as a whole. The blurriness is simply achieved with wet-on-wet. Nothing easier than that - the sharp constrasts with the defined areas makes all the difference, I guess.

*grins* Totally agree with you! With that, I mean the dogs, of course. I painted them from a photo my vet gave me. They're called Paul and Marley. Isn't that cute?
