The difference is that you have not been discriminated for years for being straight. You can be proud of it, but homosexual proud is more about how they have been fighting homophobia more that ''yeh, this is me I'm like this''

What I'm saying is that heterosexuals should be able to be proud of their sexuality without getting accused of being homophobic.

Yeah, they can be proud, but there is a huge difference. Homosexal pride and straigh pride have different meanings (as I said) so that's why people may misunderstand it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LeoDavidJones In reply to 8ClassicBlackCat8 [2017-05-13 14:54:17 +0000 UTC]

No they both have the same meaning just different sexualitys.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

8ClassicBlackCat8 In reply to LeoDavidJones [2017-05-13 15:30:30 +0000 UTC]

No, straigh people haven't been killed or haven't been fighting to be free with their sexuality for years. The homosexual pride is mot being pride of just being gay, is thatvyou are proud that you been fighting for the love you feel.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LeoDavidJones In reply to 8ClassicBlackCat8 [2017-05-13 15:47:56 +0000 UTC]

But why can we have a heterosexual pride day? I'm not saying that heterosexuals have been discriminated against because they haven't. But it would be good for straight children to be proud of their sexuality too.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

8ClassicBlackCat8 In reply to LeoDavidJones [2017-05-13 16:03:13 +0000 UTC]

Because, again, pride days are NOT about just being gay, are about FIGHTING to be it, without being judged. And there's still homophobia, so gay pride day and march will still exist.
Everyone have to be proud of who they are, but I told you more than once, there is a difference between gay pride and straigh pride.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LeoDavidJones In reply to 8ClassicBlackCat8 [2017-05-13 16:12:42 +0000 UTC]

So you can have your 'fighting to be gay' pride and we can have our 'this is who I am' pride.Β

Homophobia is somebody attacking homosexuals
Heterophobia is somebody attacking heterosexuals
having a different sexuality doesn't automatically make somebody a homophobe/heterophobe or any of that

hut. The fuck. Up
Shut. The fuck. Up

Poo poo, pee pee, penis and vagina
Women with dicks and weak men with vaginas
So fucking delicate like mommy's fine china
If you have complaints please wait your turn and line up
I got a message for these little fags trynna
Be a mommy's boy and a teachers pet, pimple face, asswipe
Looking like they just had a gyne-cologist
Stick five fingers in your ass, no lube
So what'cha gonna do?
If you're number one, shove it up your ass and make it number 2 (Oh)
Ladies getting mad in the comments, and I'm hearing it
You think it was a typo with these red lines and periods
(Oooh)
Ha ha no comma, bitches with their self esteem get out of the sauna
My shit lies in the sewers, closing the hatch
I only joke about diseases and reference that only you can catch
(Ew, oh my God.)
And if you think you're fucking grown up
Keep breathing heavy with your keyboard and fedora
Hands around your dick with the kung-fu grip
Stroking back and forth to My Little Pony clips bitch
Go outside and ride a bike or something
And get laughed at by kids to remind you that you are nothing
And then, get hit by every car or truck that ever passes
Your life flashes before your eyes, oh wait, it's your Google Glasses
Never mind faggot, just pick your ass up and take you to the closest sign faggot
I'm not done yet, you get up and you go home
Sit at your computer and open up Google Chrome
And then look at tutorials on how to hang yourself at home
And then you can hang yourself
(Is that the end of the story?
Ha ha ha ha ha, no son)

Kill yourself, please please kill yourself
You should really kill yourself
Please please kill yourself
You should really kill yourself

(I got a little bit of that anal cream for your asshole)

Being proud to be heterosexual does not make you a homophobe. Discriminating against and hating on the people who like their same gender makes you a homophobe.
same thing with homosexuals. Just being proud of being homosexual does not mean you are a heterophobe. Hating on heterosexuals or expressing disgust towards them does.
Even though I am a lesbian myself, I must agree that heterophobia is actually a thing that no one speaks of, which is wrong. I have several good friends who are proud heterosexuals, and I don't mind it, and they don't mind me being a proud homosexual. People need to see past the sexuality and into the person who actually matters.
Also, you said that you have parent control on your computer (or whatever you are using). Earlier, you said you had a wife. Then you said you are 2 years old. Either you are trying to provoke people into becoming unreasonable, or you are way too young to understand these things.

    LitBDSM [2016-09-24 15:15:54 +0000 UTC]

The "I'm proud to be gay" or "I'm proud to be black" are slogans to help people who were told that their sexual orientation was wrong (or "a sin), or that they are inferior for being black. You were never told you were sick for being an heterosexual, or discriminated for your race Β (I'm white too, so don't try to bs me that you ever were).Β

When things settle down, saying this won't be necessary anymore and we will all be aware that each can be as they are without guilt or shame.Β

    πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LeoDavidJones In reply to LitBDSM [2016-09-30 17:44:45 +0000 UTC]

Well I am never discriminated about my race but I know a lot of people who are, the whole 'black people can't be racist' thing is the real bullshit. Just watch this video would you:Β m.youtube.com/watch?v=7XcmacVb… . Seems pretty racist to me. There actually have been a lot of users on this site who have commented on my posts saying things like 'you can't be proud to be straight that's homophobic!' 90% of them under fourteen years old. So yeah, just because I am not in the minority doesn't mean I can't be discriminated against.

    πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

LitBDSM In reply to LeoDavidJones [2016-09-30 20:53:32 +0000 UTC]

I never said black people can 't be racists. We are humans, and we all behave the same way. But you need to put things in the right perspective to understand them. Why do you feel the need to say you are proud to be heterosexual?? (And do note that being heterosexual is called "being straight"; don't you see negative implications on the use of that word?).

As I mentioned before, saying "I am proud of being gay/black/southamerican", is a way to help people who have been discriminated all their lives, and told that they are sick or inferior- to recover their self-esteem and to accept themselves as they are. It's a way of saying: I am not ashamed of being gay, black, or whatever. That in a social context when being gay is still considered bad and disgusting, and where black people (and other races) are looked down upon.Β

Victims of hate and violence can become resentful and will themselves become racists, etc. But we are smart people, aren't we? So we can understand the context in which those things are said. And let it flow. Β I am a lesbian and I don't feel proud. To me, it's like saying that I'm proud to have two eyes. What the fuck for?! Β It's not an accomplishment; it's simple biology. Β But I was lucky not to be hated for it. I know friends who were kicked out of their own homes for "coming out", or told they were sick. Β Β

I would suggest focusing on the: black people can be racists too, and white people were victims of discrimination and hatred too. I believe that's the heart of the issue; we are fighting racism with more racism. But shouting "I am Β proud to be white" was already done for many many years...and usually by very horrible people. So you can understand why it sparks outrage. It's context and history. Β
