oh this is awesome. They do look alot alike. To much for them not to be related. hmmm cousins a nephew(wtf)? maybe we'll find out in later parts of the game. ^,..,~

just for kicks, id like to point out that ive proven they are father and son... in dmc1, dante finishes off mundus, and his last words to him are "Give my son my regards.". in dmc4, dante lets nero have yamato, saying it can "Stay in the family". ^_^ Not to mention that they act the same, and theres the scene in dmc4 when they walk past each other and their overcoats fly around hinting that they are connected.

I don't understand how saying "Give my son my regards" to Mundus does prove that Nero is Dante's son. Please explain it to me. (And no, i don't mean that offensive or anything. I am really interested to hear your theorie)
And yes they are connected...Sanctus himself says that both have the blood of Sparda in them. But hey...Sparda lived for nearly 2000 years before he met Eva....That's a lot of time to spread your spawns all over the world.

Have you ever noticed that Nero looks more like Dante than Vergil does? Just thought that I would point that out <.<

i think nero only looks more like dante cuz he has his hair almost the same style. vergil has his hair slicked back and spiked kinda. in dmc3 they show vergil with his hair like dantes. clearly twins. just pointing it out
