Thanks!! I salute you too. I loved the Shadowman you did!! You used ink wash, didn't you?? I really find that technique hard to use

Yep, I did. But I don't know if I could consider it a true ink wash style though. Ink wash paintings of fame take yeeeeeeeeears of practice. Masters can make varying shades of black with a single stroke, depending on how they load the brush beforehand.
The goal is not just to get the correct shades right, but also to capture its life.
For more universal ink wash techniques, start with your lighter shades and work to darker ones like pencil shading. It gets really annoying on print paper because they crinkle and break apart.
Because of that, I wound up working on midtones first. Less water overlap and hopefully minimize the annoying paper tear.

I would love to except I can't afford it OTL watercolour paper is made of canvas and thus more expensive. Not common either.
