Description Here is the work-in-progress version of Ms. Fortune, a character from the fighting game SkullGirls who can detach her head at will and remain alive.
After making a 3D Squigly , I figured I'd continue practicing character modeling by making 3D versions of the other fighters.
Still need to decide on a background, and I may tweak the hair and maybe also replace the white parts of the pant leg with fibers to simulate ripped cloth (like some Fortune cosplayers have done).

I would recommend unless your building a hyper realistic model, to remove the realistic hair and go back to the toon shading, I think the shaping you have is really well done.

While I do intend to make her hair better, I will keep it as strand hair in future versions simply because I think it looks better that way. She did used to have a "solid hair mesh" that I used as a guide for the strands, but when rendered it with this shading it just looked like she was wearing a white helmet.

I also rather like this blend of cartoony and realistic model, and if I were to make the models cel-shaded (with solid colors and black outlines and such) I think they would look too much like the original characters, and I want this to be a new take on them, not an attempt at imitating their art style (I do have plans for a couple of cel-shaded characters in the near future, but they'll be the exception rather than the rule).

I appreciate the suggestion, but I'll have to disagree with you and keep doing it the way I like it (besides, if realistic hair on stylized characters is good enough for the Pixar guys, then it's good enough for me )

Head games! We should team up to make Smash Bros Brawl stuff... lol kidding. Doubt you wanna do anything for it =3 Still amazing stuff hun! Keep up the wicked work. And Might I recommend doing an epic "Fifth of Dismember" after this version? Would so wallpaper that sucker XD

Not sure what you mean by "doing a Fifth of Dismember" (you mean showing her performing that move?), but this model already has her limbs seperated into individual pieces (you can almost see a few of the lines seperating them), so it would be possible... just not anytime soon since I still haven't finished this one and there are all the other characters to make as well.

As for making models for Smash Bros. Brawl, I can't help you there, as my intention is to make hi-poly detailed models of the characters, not low-poly game models. If you want one of those, you should talk to this guy since he already made a couple of low-poly models of Parasoul and Filia , or this guy who made a low-poly Valentine .
