Description A friend asked me to draw this, so I did

I decided to try a different painting method on this one, called "Greyscale", wich basically consists of painting the drawing with the base colors, then making a grey layer under that, and varying the shades of grey used, resulting in shadows when you change the configurations of the color layer, I liked this technic, though I think the drawing ended up a little dark, I'll try and fix that in the future

Also, next time, RWBY comic.

Also also, you guys voted in my poll, and the majority chose a "by chapter" release of the Fluffy fight, the first chapter is almost finished, when it is done, I'll post the cover here, with a link to the full thing (most likely Tumblr)

Great pic. It's always fun to see Big Mac in his muscular glory. Applebloom and scoodaloo will agree to that. And of course, Luna as well. Β  Β 
It's quite hilarious to see the Goddess of the Moon ogle Big Mac like a teenage girl having her first crush.

Interestingly enough, Sweetie Belle seems more interested by Spike. Maybe she likes the brainy type more. Nice.

Well, I'm a huge fan of the comics, sometimes I like'em better than the show itself, so I'm influenced by them in my art, with MacxLuna (though I draw it more because of how insanely funny the concept of a almost-literal GOD drolling over a farm guy with a doll and a 6-Pack, than for shipping itself), and Sweetie sleeps with a Spike plushie, so that's that :v

Sweetie has a plushie of Spike in the comic? I know comics aren't considered canon, but I got to see that. Spike gets all the mares, after all (Big Mac too. Best males characters of the show)

I don't remember the name of the comic, but if I'm not mystaken is the edition that features Rarity having a day with Babs (Silver Quill made a video about it, you can see it there)

I was trying to make the veins on them, but since I have little experience on those, I guess I made a little too much of them (especially the left arm), but thanks for the critique, is important for an artist to receive critics

Greyscale certainly allows for better utilization of colours in terms of detail. So keep up this method of illustration.Β

Yeah I really liked it, it also heps when making the shadows, since I can use only 3-4 variations of grey, instead of constantly changing colors to match, is much more dynamic


Though I think it will not be as effective on comics, on those I guess I'll keep using the shadow layer I usually do, and only use the other one on more detailed drawings
