I am reading the manga version, so I am pumped. 

Though I think the spoiling is because they had to 
fill two and a half minutes.

also due to the trademark """"lazyness"""" of Toei to not do a second version of the opening once the spoilers come out and just cover it with a black overlay

Rather than lazyness I think it has to do with all the talent being focused 
on the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly

Toei has always been addicted to money and making sure to cram out as many anime as they can all the time without relying on seasons so they are always cutting corners in everything to meet deadlines and stuff

for dragon ball super was in the beginning.

the beggining of super was a nightmare since no one knew how to work the budget or what the deadlines actually were




wich shows how much that influences stuff since the same guy that did those shitty animations at the start did all those Ultra Instinct moments that caused everyone to get their dicks hard


but Toei isn't willing to give that much care to One Piece unless is a special or a movie or something

I know right, it was the most anticipated series that year yet
they didn't treat it with the dignity it deserves. All culminating 
in watered down version of the death of Future Gohan.
