Drabble:

It was hard to admit any weakness he felt but when it came to Hinata he couldn't not show and share his feelings. Today he was nervous; the little warm pooch cradled in his left shoulder was the cause of it. Hinata lived with Kiba for a while and he had that wild big ass dog Akamaru and she seemed okay with it. She liked the dog every much actually, spoke a lot about it when they first started dating so this little girl in his arm wouldn't be a problem right? However the last few months have of their pregnancy had taken a toll on Hinata's emotional side. Someday a she was okay, then the flip would switch and she'd be mad, which was very unlike Hinata. Sasuke sighed; he'd feel terrible if she wasn't up to idea of raising a child and an abandoned dog at the same time. He'd do his best to assure her that she wouldn't be alone in this and maybe the dog would end up being real protective and caring of the babies. They were having twins, more to raise than most people but a blessing they both needed.
The dog started to stir in his arm and Sasuke let one last sigh before opening the door to his 3 bedroom apartment.
It was quiet as usual, a peace he appreciated. Naruto could be so rowdy but he meant well.
Hinata opened her eyes at Sasuke's arrival. She was wrapped in that yellow blanket she got from her late-cousin Neji "Hi my love, how was your day?" She rubbed her eyes to clear them a little "What do you have there in your arm?"
A lump climbed from his stomach to his throat the minute Hinata saw that he was carrying something. He walked to the couch and lent over her to give her a kiss on the lips. The dog nestled in his arms got in the way and licked Hinata's face. "A lick? Is that the new way you're going to-" she looked at the puppy in Sasuke's arms. Sasuke sat down "I thought of calling you first but I thought you might be taking an afternoon nap." Hinata reached out to pat the puppy with a smile "He's cute, where did you find him?"
Sasuke tried to swallowed the lump down before speaking "She actually. She's been abandoned. I thought..." He stopped talking since spent the last few days walking passed the dog like everyone else. "You're not very impulsive Sasuke-kun. You've seen this poor puppy for a few days now haven't you?" Sasuke just looked at her trying to hide his shock of how the heck Hinata knew when he hadn't said a thing. He watched place her hand on her growing belly, soon there'd be more than just him and her. She stopped petting the dog who began to wriggle out of Sasuke's hold. "She can stay Sasuke-kun" she smiled "she might be protect our children and keep them safe".
The corners of Sasuke's lips curved just a little.
