Description More party members from TheSpiderManager's Paper Mario Celestial Legends story (and I'm, once again, going out of order...). Here we have Bronco Haunt, the former captain of the Dead West Pirates.

Bronco was originally the legendary captain of the Dead West Pirates, traveling through the 4 corners of the world in search of treasures. That was until another pirate, named Wight McLich, kept on raising through the ranks. Bronco and McLich had a causal partnership until one day when Bronco cursed McLich by turning him into a cursed hat (I'm guessing that McLich messed something up and the curse was merely a punishment, but that's my guess). Wight McLich, led by vengenance, later got a band of his supporters together and held a bet with Bronco. Bronco betted his crew, his ship, his title as captain, and himself, and ended up losing. Bronco is now a slave to Captain Wight McLich.

Wight McLich now controls the Pirates of the Dead West and have it attack Grainy Gulch to capture the Maple Syrup needed to raise an undead army. However, McLich's plan was being set back by Mario, the protector of the Mushroom Kingdom, and Crawsby, the sheriff of Grainy Gulch, who wanted to stop McLich's attack on Grainy Gulch and take back the Celestial that McLich have. Bronco, after battling Crawsby in an one-on-one duel, decided to team up with Mario and Crawsby to finally get his revenge on McLich. After a long battle, Wight McLich is finally defeated. Bronco, after finally getting his revenge on McLich, decided to join Mario's adventure in gathering the Celestials before the Infinity Empire does.

Bronco specializes in many ghostly and fire based attacks. His Rising Flame can light up mystical candles to trigger switches. His battle abilities are as followed:
Ghost Shot (damage any enemy)
Rising Flame (does fire damage to all ground enemies)
Fire Wall (puts up a fire shield on any character, damaging any physical-attacking enemies) (Super-rank move)
Possess (take control of any enemy except for rare enemies and bosses) (Ultra-rank move)

Oh, after doing Bronco in this style, he really does fit in a Paper Mario game in this style.

Edit: STUPID ME! I forgot about his stats as a mini-boss... During his battle with Crawsby, his max HP is 30, his Attack is 7, and his Defense is 0. I can't believe I forgot about that...

Tell me what you think in the comments. DON'T STEAL!

I'm glad you like it.

I do got some stuff to say about Bronco:
1. SliverEmperor believed that turning Wight McLich into a hat wasn't very bright. And I think so too.
2. Why did Bronco turned McLich into a hat?

So it WAS punishment. Of course it was wierd for the punishment to be turned into a hat...

Should have figured...

As tragic as his tale is, we can't help but think Bronco brought his fate on himself. Heck, if we were turned into a hat, we'd be mad too...and if you're going to transmogrify someone as punishment, MAKE SURE THEY CAN'T MUTINY AGAINST YOU! At the very least, giving McLich the ability to breath dark fire and use stat-changing moves wasn't very bright...

Anyways, you managed to render Bronco quite nicely; he looks even more Paper Mario-ish than Brian's original artwork. And we just realized that our new Fire Chomp partner has a bit too much in common with his skills, so we're going to need to rework that idea...

As Bronco said: "It was the only curse available at a cheap price." ... Yea, I don't get it either..."

Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

Ah, lampshade hanging. Is there nothing you can't make more appropriate by pointing out the logical fallacies of it?

You're welcome. Even though we're still not sure exactly what Bronco's supposed to be (then again, we never figured out Flurrie's species, either...)

Umm...

Well, Brian said that Bronco is an entirly new species of a ghost pirate (before, I thought he was going to be an Ancha).
