I get variation of shots because a lot of the pictures I take are used as artistic references. That holds very true for this image, and the other shrine fox pictures I took.

I'm glad you like it. I think it came out nice in focus on the figure vs the blur of the background and texture of the stepping stones.

I personally don't think detail shots are really necissary for photos. As long as you have the focus of your picture takingup most of the picture I think it's always okay.
I personally like this picture because the main focus is the kawaii fox, and thats all there is. kawaii~
