Ah-AAAAA-aah! The French champagne!!! They shoulda waited to pay him in champagne until after the shoot there. Love Orson, he's an idol of mine, although he would have been good company for Lee Marvin and Richard Burton right here

Don't forget Robert Shaw! Genius writer, superior actor, major drunk. Died at 51. Look at him in From Russia With Love and then as he looked in Jaws. Same with Bill Holden. A real shame.

Yes, and Peter O'Toole as well, George C. Scott... Speaking
of alcoholism, I'm watching Leaving Las Vegas right now for
the podcast

Not a Nick Cage fan anymore. My parents saw O'Toole on stage in London in '86 and mom said they were fascinated to see whether he could remember his lines, she thought him pretty drunk.

It would be hard to remain his fan after the last 12 years of his career
That must have been fun!

I like Peter O'Toole, My Favorite Year was terrific. I will like someone for just one good movie, or book, or painting, or pop song.

I'm a tad more demanding, but O'Toole also
did What's New Pussycat?, Beckett,
and of course Lawrence of Arabia
