Once i said -Sure. Took the money and bought something else for myself, she then claimed i stole her money ofcourse, i replied -As far as i know, buying out to minors is illegal
I won't do that again, i agree, walking away and say yes is the most efficient.

Wow, she was an idiot. A lot of folks here will ask for the money, not saying its for drugs. Once in a great while I'll buy them food because I know it's not what they want ^u^

When my dad was in USA last year, a bum came up to him and said right in his face -I am an addict and i would like some money for drugs to still my addiction.
They would never be that honest in my country, or maybe he was just a rare shot.

That is extremely rare. Here they almost always have an excuse. One day I was walking from the bus stop to work, I had two bums asking me for $1.50 and offer me a new DVD for it (each had a handful of DVDs) I refused them as I found it strange. Further down the line a man with no DVDs asked me for the same amount and I gave him some change.

At least the ones in St. Louis are not as pushy as the ones in Chicago. Bums in Chicago will try to intimidate you. The bums here pretty much just whine.

My friend Tae had a great reaction to one. Tae was walking along in town, smoking, and a bum asked him for a cigarette. Tae bounced his smoke off the guy's chest and said "I don't smoke."
