This is adorable! I love the scene you've portrayed here, the characters' expressions, and the way you've drawn their eyes. Not to mention you've made me curious about this series.

Poor Zap, he looks like he's trying so hard too. It's neat to see him being clever like this, but Gunner must find it really hard to imagine that his friend went from someone who had ideas Gunner couldn't hope to understand to...well...Zap...

Looking at this, I can notice one thing - Gunner has a very different look in his eyes than the hardened one we see so often in the comics.
And then, as way of compliment - I love the way you draw eyes. Even though they're not done by way of realism, they always seem very much like the windows to the soul that they should be. I think it's the whole shininess aspect you add to them.
