well, here's a piece that I don't expect will get finished.Poster illustration for a deal called summer stage. I have a pitch of the comp on Wednesday for this design and I have this feeling that they'll reject it, so if they do, this is about as far as it will get developed.
Yes, stuff like this is the reason I don't get to draw comic books all day. SRY.

Ooh so preaat! I like how it is! If they reject it then they are blind *nod nod* I love how the hair is and the butterflies, like it somewhat makes to concentrate on them and the detailed face brings your attention to that so in general if I saw this picture when i was walking by, I would stop and look at it :-D

I like the sharp lines on the right shoulder and the face. The butterflies and the hair really provide a sense of fun. The title has a classic design and stands out well.
I'm trying to figure out where the shading around the left eye is coming from, particularly above it. Something out of frame?
The colors blend well together, but I get more of an autumn feel rather than summer from them. (And I know your feelings on color comments

no your color comment is actually legitimate because you're not complaining about a shade of a particular color, but that the warm tone in general makes you think of autumn.
See? So that's actually a comment that I'd take into consideration. What color makes you think of summer?

Green, blue and yellow are the colors I associate with Summer. Outside colors, things you would see on a nice summer day. Of course I'm partial to blues since favorite color an all.
Mostly, I put the phrase in parentheses so I could call you a cowboy with the emoticon.

Yeah, I think he has a point. I was gonna make a comment about trying the whole comp in a warm yellow-green tone. I'd say something like 64af4d for the hair and key everything else off that. (didn't know any better way to share a color over the webs than hex)
I tried sliding around the hue/saturation slider for a bit, and it looks okay but the lighting on her face turns cool. Needs to stay yellow-y.

This should be accepted, there is great beauty in its simplicity. it gives it a very nice calm feeling

What's the goal of the project, actually? I'm not sure what I should be considering about this, in terms of its tie-in to your goal. I do like the face, however, regardless of the intent or no.
