Le château de Bipp se trouve dans la commune bernoise d’Oberbipp en Suisse. Le château est mentionné pour la première fois en mars 968 dans un document royal, puis en 1268 il est de nouveau mentionné par document comme appartenant aux comtes de Frohburg. Ensuite la seigneurie passa aux mains des comtes de Neuchâtel-Nidau puis de la Famille Kybourg vers le milieu du XIVe siècle avant de le revendre aux villes de Berne et Soleure entre 1407 -1413 qui administrèrent le lieu conjointement jusqu’en 1463 où l’intégralité de la seigneurie devint propriété bernoise et siège de leurs baillis jusqu’au 2 mars 1798, date à laquelle les troupes françaises révolutionnaires prirent la ville de Soleure toute proche, Le bailli bernois de Bipp partit pour Thorberg, et la population alentour en profita pour piller le château, tout fut emporté des meubles aux portes et fenêtres. Le château est ensuite vendu à un particulier en 1805 qui le transforma en une carrière de pierres. En 1852 un Bâlois rachète la ruine et à la place des bâtiments agricoles construit le nouveau manoir visible aujourd’hui.

Schloss Bipp liegt in der Berner Gemeinde Oberbipp in der Schweiz. Die Burg wird erstmals im März 968 in einer königlichen Urkunde erwähnt, 1268 wird sie dann erneut urkundlich als Eigentum der Grafen von Frohburg erwähnt. Dann ging die Herrschaft um die Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts in die Hände der Grafen von Neuenburg-Nidau, dann der Familie Kyburg, bevor sie zwischen 1407 und 1413 an die Städte Bern und Solothurn weiterverkauft wurde, die den Ort bis 1463 gemeinsam verwalteten Die gesamte Herrschaft wurde Berner Eigentum und Sitz ihrer Vögte bis am 2. März 1798, als die revolutionären französischen Truppen die nahe gelegene Stadt Solothurn einnahmen, der Berner Vogt von Bipp nach Thorberg aufbrach und die umliegende Bevölkerung die Gelegenheit nutzte, um die Stadt zu plündern Schloss wurde alles von den Möbeln bis zu den Türen und Fenstern weggefegt. 1805 wurde die Burg dann an eine Privatperson verkauft, die sie in einen Steinbruch umwandelte. 1852 kaufte ein Basler die Ruine und baute anstelle der Wirtschaftsgebäude das heute sichtbare neue Herrenhaus.

Bipp Castle is located in the Bernese municipality of Oberbipp in Switzerland. Then the lordship passed into the hands of the counts of Neuchâtel-Nidau then of the Kyburg family around the middle of the 14th century before reselling it to the cities of Bern and Solothurn between 1407 -1413 who administered the place jointly until 1463 when the entire of the lordship became Bernese property and seat of their bailiffs until March 2, 1798, when the revolutionary French troops took the nearby town of Solothurn. The Bernese bailiff of Bipp left for Thorberg, and the surrounding population took the opportunity to plunder the castle, everything was swept away from the furniture to the doors and windows. The castle was then sold to a private individual in 1805 who transformed it into a stone quarry. In 1852, a man from Basel bought the ruins and, in place of the agricultural buildings, built the new manor house visible today
