A is for Arachne 🕷️🕸️🧵

Arachne was a mortal woman and an exceptionally talented weaver. She boasted of her skills. The goddess Athena, annoyed by her arrogance, challenged her to a weaving contest. Arachne was confident that she would win, despite Athena's godliness. When they finally compared the two tapestries, Arachne's was clearly superior. Her tapestry depicted the gods' imperfections and trickery, enraging Athena. The goddess turned Arachne into a spider, condemned her to weave intricate webs for eternity, a reminder of her hubris.

Doing this as part of the Alphabet Superset challenge created by @struthless69 - each week, for 26 weeks (with breaks), I'll create one piece of art for each letter of the alphabet, within a self-picked theme: I chose Mythology.

This is my (late) addition to the A-week - looking for my next B mythological character this week!
Super grateful for this challenge - it helps push me to actually create something that peaks my interest each week, while battling my perfectionistic affliction, while hopefully progressing.
