I think this portrait is really nice!  I really like how defined the eyes are.  I also think the hair is really well done.  The only problem that I have with this piece is how muddled up the mouth area is, it's very hard to distinguish anything.  Maybe if you made the area around his mouth lighter or the mouth darker it would help.  You shouldn't worry too much because none of the work I've seen of yours has this problem!
