OH ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Wow thats so cool! I knew a couple people in UH Hilo but they actually unfortunately graduated last semester... How do you like it? Ive been to Hilo a few times but I always get rained out of my plans lol.

Yeah, I really like it here! It's a lot of fun and I'm
involved with a handful of clubs and leadership
positions/internships and whatnot~ I really like the
Kona side though, it's beautiful out there!

I want to go to Maui some time, I really enjoyed Kauai so
I'm sure it would be wonderful as well. I'm going ziplining in
a couple weeks, so that should break the monotony of going
around downtown Hilo, Volcano, and Kona I suppose!
I'm so glad you were able to get out of the situation you were
in previously, you deserve the best and I'm happy you're liking
life in California! Do you plan to stay in the area after you graduate?

I hope you are able to try it, it's an awesome experience!
I went with Kapohokine Adventures in Hilo, they took us over the
Honoli'i River and it was a lot of fun! I felt safe and jumped off
platforms without using hands, going backwards, etc. and the view
was gorgeous. Spinning around from up there, you have a clear view of
Mauna Kea, all of Hilo/Hilo Bay, and get a bird's eye view of the rainforests
around the area. Even got to see some rainbows and double rainbows
throughout the four hours we were up there!
I love being in Hawaii, but I don't see it as a place I'd settle in forever.
I do plan to stay a bit longer after the 2015-2016 school year for vacation!
Either way, I have to go back to my home campus in Los Angeles since I'm here
as part of a student exchange, so between 2016-2017 I'll be in California again
and I'm not sure if I'll be sticking around there or moving onto grad school yet.

Yeah Hawaii isnt that great for people our age especially since the job market there is so shit...
But i definitely hope to move back when im old and retired just cause the water and air is so great there

Luckily, I work at the school, but there's only one art therapy
place here and they aren't looking for people in the foreseeable future.
Hawaii's the only place I'm doing my exchange at because I decided to
take on a full year here. It's my senior year, so I figured might as well!
However, if/when I go to grad school, I'll be able to study abroad so
I'm looking forward to that! Anywho, I'm going back to Los Angeles
for winter break~ What are your plans for the winter? C':

I just got back to Hawaii a couple days ago.
My sister came over to Berkeley & SF to visit so I just toured with her for a full week we were there,
but now im back and oh my this heat LOL im so not used to it anymore.
My bf is also coming to Hawaii to visit and im so excited <33333333

I'm so excited for you since he's coming! If he's never been,
there's so much to see. I want to go island hopping while I'm
here, but I'm not sure if my budget will allow, haha. ;u; ;;;
For winter, I went back to Southern California! Visited Los Angeles
for a couple weeks to be with family and friends, then spent a
couple weeks with my boyfriend and his family and friends. Didn't
feel like a break since I was busy/going out everyday, but I had
fun! It's nice being back here at UHH though, at least to have
clean beaches and no traffic and other city hassles..!

I actually came back to berkeley already haha but break was fun!
Basically just chilled with family and friends & then my bf came to visit
and i played tour guide for 2 weeks lol
You should definitely go island hopping! Its not so expensive flying from island to island
and every island is absolutely beautiful * u*

This is my last semester, but things are so busy and intense.
I have 18 units, 2 jobs, 2 internships, and 2 research labs.
Today, I realized that it's the fourth week of school and I feel
like I haven't done much outside of this, haha~ Hope you're

It's pretty ridiculous, time passes by so fast that I don't know
the date sometimes..! I also can't believe it's already midterms,
I feel like I haven't done enough and I'm getting closer to graduation.
I'm pretty lucky because some of my commitments are flexible so
on some days, I have my mornings free and I go in for school/work
1-9 PM. Other times though, I basically go to school/work from 8A-10P.
You can definitely say I gave up most of my social life for things to work, haha!

I am supposed to be graduating this semester, but I decided to
take an extra semester so I can prepare my portfolio and publish
more research before I go to graduate school for art therapy. There's
literally one class I need to take before I can apply (haven't taken a
clay-making class), and I might as well take advanced painting,
printmaking, etc. and do conferences with the extra time I'll have.
What are your plans outside of school? Will it be manageable to graduate
early and whatnot? I know it's challenging but I'm so proud of you!!!
You're successful and thoughtful, it'll be worth it when you're done~

I think the process is more important than finishing early, but

Oooh, no worries, I'm sure I can only explore so much in
the week I've got anyhow... and I love sweets, I'll definitely

Woah, that's intense..! What are you interning as, if I may ask?
Structure is nice when you want to have specified time for yourself
and other people/hobbies/things in your life. It sucks if one is still
busy, though -- during my 'free' time, I spend half of it resting since
I'm recuperating from all the work I had to do throughout the week!
Yoooo, Maui had the most incredible beaches!!! I didn't get to explore
as much as I hoped because the buses either take 2-3 hours to get to
other parts of the island and/or I'd need a car to get around... but I
stayed in Kihei and went exploring from Sugar Sand Beach to Wailea,
it was pretty crazy seeing the fine sands and coral reefs and everything!
I promised no work/school/anything related during my time there, and of
course, as soon as I got back there was a pile of things waiting for me... I'm
sorting through it all right now and it sucks. ;n; ;;
Oh noes..! I hope you're able to! I'm planning to go sometime in July or August
when summer school is over and hopefully I can snag a spot in Crane or Tamarack.
There, it's about $8 a night and the rangers aren't as bureaucratic and pushy
(compared to how they can be closer to the valley where it's more expensive as well)!

I'll be honest, that sounds intense. I had a written exam and
had to do summer school reg. and whatnot, but it wasn't midterm
bad. (I'm actually really grateful that I don't have heavily weighted
assignments for any of my classes this semester.) How did you do?
It'd be interesting to see what he'd be like during that outdoor
experience! xD A few friends who never went camping before were

there, they enjoyed themselves and it wasn't so bad.

lately so it's nice to end the experience like this...
Although it kind of sucks because I have three in-class
finals on Monday, three finals I turn in online, and I
go back to California on Tuesday morning. OTL

It is an okay app but I don't use it regularly. I was just surprised
that Nintendo is starting to do accessible apps and moving away
from consoles! I get a lot of apps sometimes, but I end up deleting

I spent two weeks with my partner and I just got home to LA
earlier this week. No one's been in my room for a year so most
things look really out of shape, dusty, and dirty or isn't working.
I'm cleaning up during the weekdays, hopefully I can get some
new furniture this weekend to help spruce the place up!
Aww, that's still fun! I understand it'd be hard to give them up
when you like them so much and have no reason to really get rid of them.
Do you play video games sometimes, too, even though you have apps?
I tried playing video games on my gamecube when I got back, but
it felt hard to get back into them.
