Description OK, so here is Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist as a real person - because that is what I seem to do I never want to draw that metal arm again! As I drew this, I thought about how tragic his whole story is and tried to make it look like he was someplace desolate, like the desert and he's walking out of a sandstorm(hence the title).

8/2 - I turned Edward Elric into a God...snicker, snicker...

Thanks so much! He's from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist, there's a bunch of Ed Elric fanarts floating around here. It's a great anime, and Ed's a short hothead, but very likeable guy (looks great with his shirt off, LOL) I think your words may have re-inspired me I started writing and have sort of given up on art - the novel I wote is getting published. Youre style it gorgeraus you should make your own cover and concrats on your novel I don't know what m/m means though
I've been working on a book for 7 years now, it only needs his ending, I just can get myself to really restart and ended because my life would be so empty without it

m/m means male/male - gay romance or yaoi basically. Yep, just take the girl right out and you have two guys to choose from I'll try the cover art, I did already start it, who knows, maybe it'll lead to more stuff (and then the 5 hours a sleep I get will be reduced to 2, LOL.)

About ending a novel - it's hard. This is why novelists (at least in my opinion) start their idea for the next one before they finish the last one. It's like letting go of an old and dear friend. The characters sort of become like your children in a way. I was terribly depressed when I ended my last one. It led to posting 9 chapters of fanfiction just to get over, XD. But now, I'm on another novel and my fanfiction is suffering once again.

No, not crazy. It's sometimes really difficult to hurt your characters too. I had to beat up mine and it lead to another depressing weekend, LOL. But, there's no good story (at least one that will hold a reader's interest) without drama.

Hey, thanks so much. I haven't done any art really, since I started writing (since October) I think I'm in a slump. But, I just have to go with it...I have my first show this weekend, I'm a little nervous, but I'll get over it. The dean of the college actually used one of my peices (lost) on the invitations for the show, I was really honored.

Hey, thanks. I have another one coming up in Feb (it's juried and I got accepted!) and I'm going to put some peices in the local art walk. I joined the Art League and it opened up a whole lot of stuff for me. But, most the other members are REALLY OLD...I mean, I'm old compared to most on this site, but these people are like 60+. Everytime I bring a peice in to show my work, they sort of look at me funny.

Yep, maybe because it's a character that so many people have done already... automail is really hard, and I've done it three freaking times now, if (yeah right,when) I do him again, the pose will not show the automail again. At least that's what I'm saying right now
