Hey, amazing design, though I have to ask... does it really stay that well? I mean it's just a marker, right?
Because I do all my stuff with black permanent marker and acrylics, and to say that it's time consuming and tiresome is an understatement. And I've been looking at your work, well it just looks really really good and professional, it's different to the effect you get with acrylics, and I would like to try it but not entirely sure it it would work...?
I have a black textile marker, and they are supposed to be impossible to wash out, come in various colours... Would that work?
Sorry for all the silly questions but I'm a little afraid to mess up the shoes in case something goes lopsided. So I guess I'm just wondering if there's anything to keep in mind?

The Sharpie ink I've been using has kept really well with what little I've subjected them to (a little rain, and I stepped in a puddle with one shoe--nothing happened). There's a little fading on the ones I wear all the time, but that's it. I've heard tell of Sharpie ink running when wet, and lots of people have suggested I switch to fabric paints or markers, so... I'd say stick with the fabric markers, since they're made for this sort of thing. I don't know how different they are from Sharpies, really, but I do know that blending colors is pretty easy with Sharpies if you brush lightly with the broad side of the tip, and I'm not sure if its the same with fabric markers or not.

Thanks! I used Sharpies... retractable ones, if that matters. ^^
