I had promised a friend of mine to draw an object head like... 2 years ago?? xD;; Haha, better late than never!
So this is my first attempt at drawing an object head (creatures with objects for heads) I always thought they were the coolest thing and have so many ideas for them!!! But never got round to drawing any... until I read this one comic and was like MMMMM SHOULD GET ON THAT DRAWING THING I SAID I WILL 2 YEARS AGO.
And here we are!
I made an apple head be a bow girl because I find myself witty and subtle like that.
I can't draw bows, though! First time drawing one and it's a compound bow and it's a MESS!!! I know all the mistakes, I've been told, no need to point them out since I'm changing the bow to a simple one next time I draw her OTL
The arrows are special, though! She is a 'tracker' rather than a hunter, so the bows are not meant to kill, but when they make contact with the target, they inject a special chemical that Cory can then use to locate the whereabouts of the target for up to 72 hours.
All the info and details here are subject to change, since it's only a concept so far, but we'll see where this goes!

Well... I'm not sure how to put this, in a simple term, it looks awesome and bizarre at the same time. Well, not to say it is a bad thing.
I do say, your bow is quite unique. This would be the first time I saw the bow that can put additional arrows for use later, no need to carry quiver for the arrows.

The only thing I find off about the bow is the grip. it should be thin enough where the character is holding it for them to put their hand around it

Interesting design. The arrowheads do remind me of the ones used by Oliver Queen. Also the compound bow looks pretty solid actually, i mean i tried drawing those before and they are a bitch to get right, specially the grip.

That certainly is one heck of a complicated bow. It almost looks like a complex camera. It's not bad at all, I find the design very interesting and unique! Especially for this kind of character design. I gotta imagine though, she must really enjoy Legend of Zelda with that kind of weaponry?

Although to be honest when I saw the thumbnail I thought it's either Projareds Jumjum Jr or a 'character' from "Where Dead go to die".

I don't know where you know my icon from, because I'm aware that are great and Powerful _Golden God_, a creature so perfect, so shiny, and beautiful comes from a few different things.

For a first attempt at a bow that's actually really impressive.
Only major thing I see wrong is that the string needs to be from the back edge of the cams (the circle things at the top/bottom)
And that the cams need to be more spiral-egg shaped o3o

But yeah, if you were just trying to draw a bow, a recurve mighta been easier XD
Compounds have a LOT of moving parts and details when it comes to art
Character I use for a personal skin in Gmod uses a bow, and there's a few dozen he uses in the game he came from.

There are actually a wide range (no pun intended) of recurve bows out there, both modern and antique,
like the takedown bow I have, it can be broken down into segments for easy storage.
Though the nicer ones are all one piece of wood, typically
But yeah, compound bows do look more 'advanced' in general, so the more scifi look might suit them.
I'm assuming that's why they used them in one of the Crysis games when you get to be a hunter tracking down guys with miniguns XD
