Again, it needs to be a thing. someday maybe they'd make a more futuristic Zelda game and you could turn the Master Sword into other weapons and tools(your new equivalent of dungeon items) and you could start with being able to make it into a Lawnmower! HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?? Master hammer, Master Bow, Master Fire rod, Master Axe, Master Hook all with a Master sword motif!

I get you. but wouldn't that be AWESOME?!??! Maybe you could even have other "items" just MEANT FOR COMBAT!!! no puzzles, just for KILLING MONSTERS!! not even specific ones like ones you need to bomb or whatever. just something else you could use! Axe for heavy attacks, sword for quick attacks, staff for long range, mace for EXTRA HEAVY. any other ideas?

More magic could DEFINITELY be great!... Maybe for Fanservice, it could start modern-day, Link would buy a Lawnmower, it'd turn out to be the master sword (or rod, staff, yadayadayada, depending on what you chose at the beginning) it could rip a portal open to Hyrule!Β
You could START with a certain weapon as a class-dealie. Master Bow, Master Axe, Master staff all that stuff
It could have a sort of multiplayer so that you could invite friends to go through dungeons with you. (with increased difficulty of course depending on how many friend you bring)
